Here is a photo of a log bed that one of our customers built.
Once you have your logs and branches gathered and arranged, it is easy to put them together using the E-Z Log Tenon Cutter. The tenon joints are strong and look great. You can even "beef" them by using the E-Z Log Sink.
The E-Z Log Tenon Cutters can be used with any 1/2" drill. We do recommend using a drill that has a side handle to give your wrists extra support while cutting the tenon.
Both the 45° and 90° Cutters will accept up to about a 4.5" diameter log. A pilot hole must be drilled at the end of the log to guide the cutter. This insures a perfect tenon. The pencil-sharpener type cutters have a tenancy to wobble during the cut because it is difficult to hold your drill steady, creating gouges in the tenon. That will not happen with the E-Z Log Tenon Cutters.
